The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Grade: Professional 305 Pay Range: $54,800.00 - $82,200.00

Job Description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Tracks the QA process throughout the development cycle for all new courses and major course redevelopment

2. Communicates step-by-step QA requirements to multilevel stakeholders, including providing detailed access instructions and credentials

3. Acts as the point of contact for reviewers and stakeholders during QA process, providing training and support as needed

4. Liaises with the subject matter expert (SME) recruitment team and external SMEs, facilitates SME introduction to working with WGU QA team, and acts as a resource throughout their engagement with QA projects

5. Facilitates the development team's review and implementation of QA feedback, and maintains a record of QA feedback history, including actions taken and resolutions, in an accessible database

6. Assists in planning and delivering limited release courses for student testing

7. Monitors student and mentor feedback from limited release for final course approval

8. Cultivates the following Essential skills: professionalism, quality control, adaptability, positive attitude, dependability, and courteous and timely communication

9. Ensures quality standards and WGU's vision and mission are reflected in all aspects of the student experience

10. Develops and maintains a collaborative relationship with all appropriate internal and external stakeholders involved in the QA process

11. Trains on and helps SMEs with the processes and tasks associated with quality evaluation

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

* Thorough understanding of curriculum development, instructional design, and test development

* Understanding of project management, needs assessment, and risk management

* Superior critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills

* Exceptional oral and written communication skills

* Advanced technical writing and editing skills

* Advanced critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis skills

* Advanced skills in planning, organizing, and self-management

* Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a deadline-driven environment

* Must be precise, thorough, and detail-oriented

* Strong Microsoft Office and internet skills

* Experience with online instruction and adult learning models

* Knowledge of learning theory and student learning styles

* Experience with online learning technologies and pedagogies

* Bachelor's degree required

* 1-3 years' experience in process or workflow management, or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience

  • 2 years of Higher Ed experience

Position & Application Details
