TDEC's Office of General Counsel (OGC) has a welcoming and collaborative culture focused on development and fostering success among its staff.

Job Overview:

OGC is seeking a legal data manager with expertise in legal processes, technology, and data management. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized professional to join a mission driven team focused on quality work while enjoying an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Data transition:

  • Prepare data for transition to new legal matter management platform and participate in the development of, transition to, and implementation of new system;

* Legal data leader:

  • Oversee data security; identify and document needs and challenges related to legal data storage and reporting;
  • design and maintain high-integrity systems for paperless data storage;
  • conduct training on data governance workflows;
  • continuously identify, troubleshoot and solve data issues;
  • and query and analyze data, track metrics and support dashboarding;

* Document management:

  • Perform quality control on document storage and database entries;
  • monitor compliance with records storage timelines; design, oversee and maintain modern litigation record retention system;
  • and maintain OGC library;

* Litigation support:

  • Assist with formatting and filing legal documents,
  • e-discovery and trials;

* Supervision:

  • Supervise administrative staff, as needed;

* Billing and payment processing:

  • Serve as backup to the Office Manager for OGC billing;

* Other:

  • Assist with other OGC administrative duties, including assisting with planning OGC's annual overnight retreat.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of work experience. Education and experience in legal data management is preferred.
