This Epidemiologist 2 will prepare health risk assessments and health education materials under our cooperative agreement with the federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). The incumbent will scrutinize air, water, soil, and soil gas data to make conclusions and recommendations to protect public health. As a member of our TDH EEP team, the incumbent will work independently and cooperatively with other environmental scientists within our central office in downtown Nashville. This is a hybrid work position requiring at least two in-office days per week. Key Responsibilities: Related to environmental health risk assessment, this Epidemiologist 2 will:

Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: The minimum qualifications for this level will be a master's degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental epidemiology, environmental public health, or toxicology. OR Substitution of Experience for Education: A bachelor's degree in an environmental health science, geological science, hydrogeology, environmental science, or toxicology field with five years' work experience in the chosen field. OR Substitution of Education for Experience: A doctorate degree in an environmental health science, geological science, toxicology, or environmental science field. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university. A transcript evaluation is required for degrees earned outside of the United States. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position. A background check may be performed. Preferred Qualifications:
