The Role:

Morningstar Direct is a financial software platform that provides our clients (financial advisors, banks, broker dealers, mutual fund companies and others) with independent, comprehensive, and timely data and research they can use to empower investor success. The Customer Support Representative will work as part of our dynamic global team supporting our Licensed Data business.

This role will interact extensively with new and existing clients to provide a thorough understanding of Morningstar's core investment data and innovative software products. The Customer Support Representative works closely with their Internal Sales and Customer Success Manager counterparts on client retention, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement while always advocating for our clients.

This position is based in our Chicago office.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding to all client inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate superior product, data, and process knowledge and use that knowledge to anticipate client needs.
  • Interact with Morningstar's data analysts, product developers, and customer success managers to address timely needs and/or investigate issues in a prompt manner and to ensure proper processing, follow through and resolution of client requests.
  • Document all actions in CRM (Service Cloud).
  • Assist with creating documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Actively contribute to process improvement project work.

Requirements

  • Preferred three years of customer service, educational training, or sales experience in a professional corporate environment especially within the financial services industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent client service skills with a proactive approach and ownership of issues as they arise.
  • Fast learner, self-starter, flexible, and proven ability to work in a demanding environment with strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Adhere to attendance and scheduling policies, within a help center that operates on all weekdays, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM (you will have a shift within this time).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, high attention to detail, and excellent time management.
  • Good understanding of financial data or experience in a similar field, working with larger quantities of data.
  • Bachelor's degree or similar qualification in a technical or financial discipline.
  • Fluency in a second business language is desirable.

Total Cash Compensation Range

$58,150.00 - 98,875.00 USD Annual

Inclusive of annual base salary and target incentive
