What you will do as a Nurse Specialist - Certified (WOC)
  • Provide consultation and direct patient care for new ostomy patients, including pre-operative site marking, education, and emotional support.
  • Manage complex ostomy and fistula care
  • Care for simple and complex wounds and skin care injuries
  • Provide leadership in pressure ulcer prevention, surveillance, and treatment
  • Evaluate innovative ostomy and wound care products and devices and influence product choices through collaboration with other departments/ sites/ teams
  • Develop WOC related policy, procedure, and practice protocols
  • Provide education to patients, family, and other healthcare professionals individually and in-group settings related to ostomy and wound care
  • Actively participate within an interdisciplinary team; developing wound, ostomy and continence plans of care; effectively advocating for patient care needs
  • Provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served
What you will need:
  • RN License
  • WOCN Certification or ability to obtain WOCN within 1 year of hire
  • 2+ years of Medical Surgical or WOC experience

Location: M Health Fairview Clinic and Surgery Center - 909 Fulton St. SE Minneapolis, MN 55455

Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation:

99,882.00 - 159,827.00 USD Annual
