What You'll Do

In this role, you'll support both metrology and archive sample management functions-ensuring laboratory equipment is operating at peak performance and maintaining accurate, compliant records of critical research samples. Every day brings variety, from instrument verification to organizing archives that keep research moving forward.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Laboratory & Equipment Support: Monitor and verify instruments, perform routine maintenance, and ensure records meet regulatory requirements.

  • Sample Management: Receive, process, archive, and ship samples while maintaining accurate inventories.

  • Safety & Compliance: Follow SOPs and GLP practices, handle chemicals safely, and support environmental monitoring.

  • Operational Excellence: Maintain lab cleanliness, manage inventory, and assist with biohazard disposal.

  • Collaboration: Communicate with managers and colleagues to keep projects running efficiently.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced scientific environment. You'll succeed in this role if you can balance precision with adaptability while keeping safety at the forefront.

Qualifications:

  • B.S./B.A. in Biology, Chemistry, or a related science (entry-level welcomed!)

  • Associate's degree in Chemistry plus some lab experience, OR

  • 2-3 years of direct laboratory experience

  • Familiarity with GLP regulations and lab procedures is a plus

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently

  • Comfortable with physical activity (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking, using PPE as required)

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
