About the Role

As a Staff Accountant at Watlow, you will gain hands-on experience across our Corporate and Global Accounting team. You'll collaborate with colleagues across Finance, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A, learning how different functions connect to drive business success. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, you will also have the chance to contribute to system implementations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives that make a real impact.

We are looking for someone who can be based out of our global headquarters in St. Louis, MO.

  • Learn and Apply Accounting Practices: Gain hands-on experience preparing entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining documentation to build a strong foundation in accounting.
  • Assist with Month-End Close: Support global accounting teams in completing month-end and quarter-end activities on time, helping to ensure financial accuracy and quality.
  • Help Strengthen Internal Controls: Follow established policies and procedures to safeguard assets, support compliance, and contribute to a strong control environment.
  • Contribute to Projects and Process Improvements: Assist with ongoing system implementations (including Oracle), audits, and other projects while identifying opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Controllers, FP&A, Treasury, and Tax, as well as cross-functional and global teams, to provide accurate data and support business needs.
  • Build Relationships and Communication Skills: Partner with colleagues across locations, sharing information clearly and effectively to support team success.
  • Develop and Grow: Take initiative to learn new tools (Excel, Oracle, banking portals), build analytical skills, and gain exposure to global finance operations.

Required Qualifications
