Essential Job Duties |
The primary purpose of the Executive Assistant position is to provide high-level administrative assistance to the Associate Dean /Director in fulfillment of the administration and operation of the NC State Extension organization.
This position provides administrative management for the Extension Administration office, financial administration/budget for the Associate Dean/Director's budget ; primary administrative support and event management for the State Advisory Council (
SAC; consisting of 30 volunteers); internal Office Management; and personnel management./HR duties within Extension Administration units. |

Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education |
High School diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or graduation with an associate's degree in Secretarial Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Other Required Qualifications |
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience and skills in analyzing and maintaining budgets and conducting regular budget activities, as well as preparing financial reports for analysis.
- Experience in managing and prioritizing an Executive's calendar and travel.
- Ability to write professional, courteous, accurate correspondence on behalf of an Executive.
- Experience in making sound decisions (problem solving).
- Experience in organization, planning and project management.
