Position Summary/Primary purpose of position: The (part time) Alumni Coordinator is responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with alumni of the College of Education. Through direct outreach, engaging programming, communications, and special events, the Alumni Coordinator fosters lifelong connections between alumni, current students, faculty, and the College. This role plays a key part in alumni engagement, advancement support, and building a vibrant and supportive alumni network.
Work Location and Schedule Expectations
This role is expected to be performed on-site. In addition, occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to support alumni events and related activities.
Communications
- Collaborate with the Communications Director and program staff to maintain accurate alumni contact information.
- Promote alumni news and events through the College website, email, and social media.
- Create and implement innovative communication strategies to support alumni networking, mentoring, and professional development.
Relationship Development
- Recruit, engage, and steward alumni volunteers, with a particular emphasis on building a strong mentor network for current students and recent graduates.
- Cultivate initial outreach to alumni to preserve continuity of relationships and institutional memory.
Alumni Engagement & Continuing Education
- Partner with the Alumni Advisory Board Team to establish and achieve goals for alumni programming.
- Plan and facilitate alumni events, including support for annual tailgate, networking opportunities, and special programs.
Advancement Support
- Work with advancement staff to engage alumni as potential donors and volunteers.
- Support Day of Giving activities by coordinating student philanthropy efforts, encouraging alumni participation, and managing gratitude communications to donors.

Minimum Experience/Education |
A high school diploma combined with substantial experience in event coordination/administration, demonstrating strong organizational and planning skills
