About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the culture and driving people initiatives at our Thomasville, GA manufacturing site. This site employs approximately 130 team members and generates $40-50 million in annual revenue. The site is in a turnaround phase, so building trust with the front-line team and fostering a positive, engaged workforce will be critical to success. This role is a key member of the site leadership team, working closely with the General Manager to lead HR strategy and execution. The position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources for the division, with a dotted-line relationship to the site General Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead HR strategy and execution aligned with the site's turnaround objectives and overall business strategy.
  • Partner with the site leadership team to drive cultural transformation, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Own talent acquisition and workforce planning, ensuring the right people are in the right roles to achieve performance goals.
  • Develop and implement onboarding, training, and development programs to build capability and support continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive, trust-based workplace culture through proactive employee relations and effective communication.
  • Manage performance management and succession planning processes to strengthen leadership pipelines and drive accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and all legal/regulatory requirements, maintaining audit readiness.
  • Coordinate compensation, benefits, and workers' compensation programs in partnership with corporate HR.
  • Drive process harmonization and continuous improvement initiatives across HR and site operations.
  • Manage the HR budget and optimize resources to deliver cost-effective, high-impact solutions.
  • Lead internal communications, engagement activities, and community involvement to reinforce culture and employee experience.
  • Represent HR in customer, audit, and regulatory interactions, ensuring professionalism and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of HR generalist experience OR a minimum of 8 years of HR generalist experience.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably aerospace.
  • Demonstrable experience using data for HR Metrics and subsequent action planning; including Microsoft excel proficiency.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the Company.
  • Experience directly supporting leaders at multiple levels within the organization.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and organizational and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions generally consist of office and shop floor environments; other than safety glasses and safety shoes, additional personal protective equipment generally not required.
  • May be required to lift up to 20 - 30 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Infrequent weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
