The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a highly motivated Automation Developer Intern to join our Digital Design team. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative automation solutions that streamline workflows and increase efficiency across CADD platforms, such as MicroStation and AutoCAD. If you enjoy solving technical challenges through code and want to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative engineering environment, this internship is for you.

What You'll Do



  • Develop, troubleshoot, and improve custom automation scripts and tools for CADD applications (MicroStation and AutoCAD)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and project managers, to understand their automation requirements and provide timely solutions.
  • Apply version control practices and scripting fundamentals to ensure maintainable and efficient code.
  • Utilize languages such as AutoLISP, C# or Python to write, modify, and optimize code for automation projects.
  • Conduct thorough testing of automation scripts to ensure reliability and accuracy. Debug and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of automation code and its functionality to ensure knowledge transfer and future reference.

What We Expect from You



  • Actively pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or related field
  • Experience or coursework in: Scripting languages: Python, C#, AutoLISP (must-have), Automation tools and techniques, Version control systems (e.g., Git) & Programming fundamentals, database systems, DevOps, and CI/CD basics
  • Familiarity with Bentley MicroStation and AutoCAD is a bonus but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to work full-time during Summer 2026
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

      Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $20-23/hr.
      * Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
