Assistant Director, Bridge Engineer
Overview NV5 is seeking a visionary Assistant Director, Bridge Engineer to lead transformative infrastructure projects within our high-performing Transportation Engineering Group, based in the culturally rich and scenic city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. As our Assistant Director, you'll bring 10+ years of progressive experience in bridge and transportation structure design and analysis, and play a pivotal role in shaping project strategy, mentoring emerging talent, and delivering high-impact solutions. Your technical expertise and project management acumen will be instrumental in guiding complex initiatives from concept to completion. Responsibilities * Lead the design of bridge structures across diverse geographic locations, ensuring compliance with a myriad of state, federal, and tribal standards. * Undertake the pivotal role of Project Manager for projects primarily centered around bridges, overseeing their successful execution from inception to completion. * Assume the position of the bridge discipline lead on projects that encompass various bridge elements, bringing forth your specialized expertise. * Offer robust leadership and technical guidance on intricate bridge engineering issues, contributing to the overall success and innovation of our projects. * Dedicate yourself to the mentorship and training of our staff, fostering the expansion of their bridge/structural engineering knowledge and capabilities. * Take charge of managing the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of bridge-related work, aligning deliverables with client expectations and overarching business objectives. * Implement and uphold company policies and procedures, ensuring seamless project execution while upholding the highest standards of excellence. * Demonstrate flexibility by making yourself available for occasional overtime, including weekends, when project demands necessitate it. * Be prepared for occasional overnight travel, demonstrating your commitment to project success and a willingness to contribute beyond the confines of the office as needed. Qualifications Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
BS in civil engineering. A Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
The pay range for this position in New Mexico is $120,000 to $150,000 per year. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
