As an Associate QA Tester, you will be responsible for writing, executing, and maintaining test cases to validate functionality, performance, and security compliance of our products. This role requires 1-2 years of experience in software testing, with an emphasis on test case creation and execution. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and process analysts to ensure high-quality releases. Responsibilities
- Write, review, and execute manual test cases based on product requirements, design specifications, and process documentation.
- Report, track, and verify software defects using our issue tracking system (i.e. Jira)
- Participate in QA planning sessions and release reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure testing activities align with internal QA standards and processes.
- Provide feedback on usability, performance, and potential security concerns in tested COTS applications.
- Assist in the review and development of process documentation, via Lucid chart, that supports test case creation and product understanding.
- Contribute to test documentation and test summary reports.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience writing and executing software test cases.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test cycles, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ability to analyze requirements, design documentation, and process documents to derive comprehensive test cases.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test case management tools.
Travel Requirements:
- Approximately 10% out-of-town travel to regional offices and/or data centers
- Work remotely or at the regional office when not traveling
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work
- Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day
- Required to have close visual acuity to view computer terminal and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day
