JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg invites applications from qualified candidates for a part-time lecturer position to teach AI-100: Artificial Intelligence: Automated Thinking to Augment Human Intellect for the Spring 2026 Semester. This 3-credit general education course provides students with a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, including its origins, core concepts, capabilities, and real-world applications. We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable instructor who can engage a diverse group of undergraduates, many of whom may be encountering AI for the first time. Job Duties Deliver engaging lectures based on the established curriculum and syllabus. Prepare class materials, assignments, and assessments. Hold regular office hours to support students. Use Canvas, Penn State's learning management system, to manage course content and communication. Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. Requirements and Qualifications A minimum of a master's degree in information systems, information technology, or a closely related field is required. Prior college-level teaching experience. Familiarity with AI concepts, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and the social and ethical implications of AI. Familiarity with the application of AI in business, healthcare, education, and other domains.
