RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and as part of the Quality Assurance Team, the Quality Assurance Analyst will evaluate, test, and validate systems, services, and/or software to ensure they meet defined requirements and standards. With a focus on supporting the development and maintenance of database solutions, including in-house and cloud-hosted systems, this role may also include supporting application-based services. The Quality Assurance Analyst will join a team with other quality assurance analysts and be a part of building our QA capacity at Penn State IT. The Quality Assurance Analyst will be a creative, analytic, and innovative individual who is passionate about quality. The Quality Assurance Analyst will need to be comfortable working with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to interpret requirements and prioritize business needs in efforts to provide feedback about quality. We expect candidates who can interpret, organize, and prioritize activities to meet testing and project goals without compromising quality. The successful candidate will be expected to adapt test approaches depending on the context of the project and use lessons learned to improve future performance. The Quality Assurance Analyst will be expected to present findings clearly and confidently to stakeholders and is expected to act in accordance with departmental core values and uphold a high bar for excellence. QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneBACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
