Position Overview: We are seeking a Learning Specialist to join our New Employee Experience team, wherethey will play a pivotal role in shaping onboarding strategy and execution. This positionrequires end-to-end ownership of bi-weekly orientation programming and other new hirelearning solutions, with a focus on driving operational excellence and learner impact. The Specialist will independently lead full-cycle planning and delivery of both virtual andin-person sessions, ensuring seamless logistics, high-quality production, and strategicalignment with onboarding goals. They will also proactively collaborate with partners andstakeholders to resolve issues and elevate the onboarding experience to a consumer-gradestandard. In addition, the Specialist will contribute to the strategic development andimplementation of our Peer Learning Community, and support facilitation efforts asneeded to maintain engagement and continuity across learning environments.Ideal candidates will bring program or event management expertise, a sharp attention todetail, and the ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments autonomously. Apassion for Learning and Development and a drive to influence onboarding outcomes areessential. Primary Responsibilities:
- Independently lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of bi-weekly orientationprogramming and a monthly speaker series, ensuring strategic alignment withonboarding goals, timely delivery of milestones, and adherence to budgetparameters.
- Own and manage all communications related to orientation programming-including welcome emails, inbox oversight, and event messaging-ensuring aseamless and engaging learner experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, stakeholders, and learners,proactively resolving issues and driving a high-quality, consumer-grade onboardingexperience.
- Help to facilitate virtual and in-person learning sessions, autonomously managing production elements such as breakout room coordination, attendance tracking, and interactive tool deployment (polls, videos, Q&A) to optimize learner engagement.
- Design and oversee the peer facilitator program, including recruitment, training, andongoing engagement of cross-functional volunteers who support orientationdelivery.
- Administer and analyze data through Learning Management Systems and event surveys, ensuring accurate reporting and actionable insights that inform onboarding strategy.
- Conduct independent audits and assessments of learning solutions against definedmetrics, implementing enhancements that improve operational efficiency andlearning outcomes, and tracking the impact of these improvements over time.
Requirements and Minimum Education Level:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, learning and development, trainingand capacity building, organizational development, client consulting, eventmanagement, and/or talent management roles.
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage programs and events, includingplanning, stakeholder engagement, and execution, with a focus on driving strategicoutcomes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear,learner-focused messaging across multiple channels.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, leveraging tools to streamline learningoperations and enhance delivery efficiency.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and a proactive interest in applying digital toolsto improve learner experience and scalability.
- Confident presenter with the ability to facilitate engaging sessions or a strong desireto develop facilitation expertise.
- Skilled in translating complex concepts into intuitive process flows, enabling clarityand consistency in learning design and execution.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally to ensurealignment and successful outcomes, while maintaining ownership of deliverables.
- Creative problem-solver who can navigate ambiguity and pressure to delivereffective solutions.
- Comfortable piloting new approaches and iterating based on feedback, contributing to continuous improvement in onboarding and learning strategy.
