What to Expect

Consider before submitting an application:

This position is expected to start around January 2026 and continue through the Winter/Spring term (ending approximately May 2026) or continuing into Summer 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

As an integral part of our Power Electronics team, you'll be working on next-gen power converters for an array ofcutting-edge applications such as vehicle on-board chargers, PV inverters, Powerwall, Supercharger, Megapack,and more.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with multifaceted cross-functional teams, including electrical and mechanical design engineers,magnetics design engineers, controls engineers, and EMC test engineers throughout the entire productdevelopment cycle, including concept and architecture definition, design, prototyping, testing, suppliercollaboration, and manufacturing introduction

  • Leverage your strong technical background and problem-solving abilities to debug issues and implementfixes during EMC testing, ensuring our products are fully compliant with required standards

  • Carryout EMI filter design, provide direction for schematic and circuit board layout, product integration,packaging, assembly, cable interface design, shielding, and grounding to ensure EMC compliance at theproduct level


What You'll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC & DC/AC) and switchingwaveforms
  • Familiarity with schematic capture, power converter and electro-magnetic circuit simulation tools
  • Hands-on experience with EMI filter designs for power converters and compliance testing
  • Strong understanding of conducted and radiated noise sources and their mitigation techniques in powerelectronic systems
  • Experience with design of common mode and differential mode chokes for noise filtering
  • Experience in supervision of PCB layout for minimal stray parameters, power/signal plane definition forEMC optimization
  • Thorough knowledge of EMC test standards such as FCC and EN
  • Experience with the test methods and use of measuring equipment including spectrum analyzers, signalgenerators, amplifier, antennas, line filters etc.
  • Awareness of UL and CE electrical safety requirements and EMC requirements relevant to powerconverters

    Expected Compensation
    $20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
