Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings.The Azure Sql Deployment team is looking for people who are interested in developing a state-of the-art platform that spans multiple clouds, hosts multiple database engines, and enables touch-free deployments to millions of databases in a fast, safe, and reliable way. The platform provides full lifecycle services involving deployment, upgrade, high availability, disaster recovery, supportability, and management end-to-end.We are a small but diverse team of people with various views, backgrounds and beliefs. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain software features and components that meet functional and non-functional requirements, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following established coding standards and best practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to improve performance, resilience, and user experience.Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Contribute to design discussions and propose improvements to systems, services, and development processes.Own features or services end-to-end, from planning and implementation to deployment and monitoring in production.Document technical designs and implementation details to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential application to ongoing projects.Embody our culture and values | |
