DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Mortuary Inspector, you will travel to inspection sites throughout the state to conduct periodic inspections of all funeral homes by observation and interviews, noting any deviation from established standards, and preparing inspection reports to communicate findings. While gathering evidence, issuing citations, preparing reports, and testifying at hearings, you will be required to maintain the confidentiality of identities and locations. You will have the opportunity to pose as a consumer in support of undercover investigations of alleged violations.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Ten years of experience as a funeral director.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess an active license to practice as a funeral director issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Funeral Directors.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
