Description: Develop software for real-time systems and supporting infrastructure, focused on small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS). The ideal candidate will be interested in working on combined hardware/software systems or developing computationally efficient code for processing data received from sensors and other hardware. In addition, they will support the development of supporting infrastructure, such as simulation software running on HPCs, static analysis tools, and aiding in the implementation of sensor fusion algorithms. The job will begin as remote position and then transition to hybrid structure, working at least part time in a to-be-determined office in Northern Denver (Westminster,Thornton, Broomfield, etc.) area. Job Role(s): Develop software for embedded, low-SWAP systems. Validate, test, and document new or existing codebases. Communicate with sensors and other hardware systems, including low latency and precision time applications. Optimize code for deployment on devices with constrained computing power and storage. Required Experience: Engineering or Computer Science degree A minimum of four years of software development required. Experience developing in modern C++ or C required. Knowledge of Git, Gitlab, or equivalent source control and CI/CD tools required. Experience developing for Linux or POSIX systems Experience working with microcontrollers Desired Experience: Experience with ROS, ROS2 or other middleware approaches Experience or understanding of PX4 or Ardupilot software Knowledge of networking and distributed systems. Experience designing, building, and testing all types of sUAS systems. Experience with GNSS receivers and other navigation systems/sensors preferred.
