*Location:* Youngstown, OH * Project Duration & Schedule:* * *Week 1:* Tuesday, September 23 - Friday, September 26 * *Week 2:* Monday, September 29 - Thursday, October 2 * *Daily Hours:* 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30- or 60-minute lunch break) *Project Overview* TEKsystems is seeking a skilled *Field Network Technician* to support a network infrastructure deployment at a Hospital in Youngstown, OH. This role involves hands-on installation, patching, and coordination of network components in collaboration with TEKsystems field staff, remote engineers, and third-party vendors. *Key Responsibilities* * Installation & Setup* * Install network equipment in designated racks per layout diagrams * Patch ports using color-coded standards: * Blue - Data * Purple - Wireless Access Points (WAPs) * White - Voice (as directed) * Orange - ObservSmart * Black - Vendor-specific * Circuit & Connectivity * * Confirm and activate AT&T Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) circuit * Collaborate with NOC to patch network circuits * Coordinate with PIAB vendor to install and extend voice lines * Vendor Coordination* * Identify and patch ports for: * Building Automation * Public Address Systems * Access Control * Surveillance Systems * Wireless Infrastructure* * Install Wireless Access Points per floor plans * Conduct wireless survey post-installation (if equipped) * Reporting & Communication* * Provide daily progress updates and issue reports * Follow direction from TEKsystems project managers and engineers *Required Skills & Qualifications* * Technical Expertise* * Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Fortigate installations * Structured cabling and patching standards knowledge * Familiarity with AT&T DIA activation * Wireless AP installation and survey experience * Industry Standards* * Understanding of TIA/EIA and BICSI best practices * Ability to interpret rack layouts and floor plans * Tools & Equipment* * Must bring: * Basic hand tools * PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) * Cable testing equipment (and wireless survey tools if applicable) * Soft Skills* * Strong communication and collaboration * Ability to follow detailed instructions * Professional demeanor with vendors and stakeholders *Deliverables* * Complete installation and patching of network components * DIA circuit activation and vendor coordination * AP installation and wireless survey (if applicable) * Timely reporting of progress and issues *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
