Production Assembly - 2nd Shift | The Shyft Group (SV) | Charlotte, MI (SV)

What you'll do:

This is a 2nd Shift position. Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
The Production Assembly position is responsible for assembly line
work associated with the company's various product lines. This includes all
positions within the assembly, sub-assembly, and component build work centers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Meet daily/weekly production
goals.
* Read
and follow operator instructions, installation drawings, blueprints, etc.
* Self-check
work and inspect prior processes.
* Collaborate
with manufacturing & cross-functional teams (engineering, materials,
purchasing, sales).
* Perform
rework when necessary.
* Complete
all required forms and documentation.
* Maintain
a clean and safe 5S work area.
* Use
basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools correctly.
* Apply
feedback and instructions from Supervisor and/or Team Lead.
* Initiate
and support process-improvement ideas.
* Train
other associates when needed.
* Any
other jobs/duties given by supervisor.

What you need to be successful:

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Use power tools and have a basic
mechanical aptitude.
* Professional behavior in a
team setting.
* Self-motivated and able to
stay on task with minimal supervision.
* Knowledge of basic computer
skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Pass a pre-employment drug
screen.

Able to:
* Read
and interpret work orders, drawings, charts, and safety regulations.
* Correctly
use and read gauges & a tape measure to 116 in.
* Work overtime on short notice.
* Physically
lift 50lbs.
* Use
ladders, enter and exit trucks, reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, working
below knees or above shoulders.

Willing to:
* Learn
and rotate through all areas/plants.
* Pursue
additional training/upskilling when necessary.
* Develop
a working knowledge of company systems.
* Demonstrate
flexibility in adjusting to changes in work tasks, processes, or priorities.
