*Job Title:* Medical Receptionist
*Location:* Virginia Beach, VA (with coverage at Norfolk location as needed) *Schedule:* Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) *Dress Code:* Black scrubs or business casual * * *Key Responsibilities:* * *Patient Interaction:* * Greet and check patients in and out for audiology and provider appointments. * Assist patients with questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. * *Phone & Referral Management:* * Answer incoming calls; majority are referral-related. * Support referral coordination by scheduling patients from 40-50 daily referrals. * Reduce call volume by managing referral tasks efficiently. * *EHR & Administrative Tasks:* * Work within AllScripts and EPIC systems to: * Schedule appointments. * Fax and upload provider orders. * Handle provider requests for patient records and information. * Verify insurance, collect co-pays, and update patient demographics. * Prepare physical (paper) charts for providers. *Work Environment:* * Patient volume: 30-60 patients per day. * Team: 2 providers, 1 audiologist *Qualifications:* * Previous experience in a medical office or front desk role *required* * Familiarity with EHR systems (AllScripts and EPIC) is a plus. * Strong organizational and multitasking skills. * Excellent communication and customer service abilities. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
