In this role, you will oversee the assembly and testing of electro-mechanical actuators and components for both of our business units. You will ensure the production processes deliver high quality products and create value for our customers while also building a cross-trained workforce that continues to grow, learn, and take ownership.

In this role, you would typically:

  • Support employee growth and development by setting goals, conducting annual reviews, and creating training plans.
  • Resolve personnel and production problems by analyzing data, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineering to develop and implement new assembly processes and improve existing ones.
  • Translate company objectives into daily, weekly, and monthly production goals and communicate them to employees.
  • Escalate issues requiring cross-functional input to Operations Management and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to support new product introduction and production changes.

We require:

  • 2 years' leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement practical improvements in safety, quality, delivery, or efficiency
  • Authorization to work in the US

Eligibility Requirements:

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. Whippany Actuation Systems will require proof of status before employment.

We would really like to see:

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems, including audits and corrective actions
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and shop-floor data collection tools
  • Demonstrated success in building multi-skilled teams and promoting employee ownership and accountability
  • Knowledge of ITAR, FAA, or similar regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Bias for action. Ability to recognize problems, drive resolution, and follow through to completion.
  • Results-oriented. Drives to achieve both short- and long-term goals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $85,000 to $105,000 per year. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position."
