Gorman & Company is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to join our team at Gorman Homes, located on Fond du Lac Avenue in Milwaukee. This office supports 496 units of affordable housing, and the Administrative Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations for our residents and staff.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative support to the Property Manager and assist with daily office operations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, prospective residents, vendors, and partners
- Enter, track, and follow up on service requests and applications (Section 42 & Section 8)
- Prepare lease packages, renewal notices, and recertification documentation
- Maintain organized files, reports, and resident communications
- Deliver exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required
- 1+ year of administrative or office experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A confident, positive attitude and ability to work with diverse groups of people
