The Senior Data Engineer on our team works with cross-functional teams to build a world-scale data platform that supports community moderation experiences for some of the largest online communities around the globe. You will also collaborate with other teams across Xbox, Microsoft, and the gaming industry to ensure the developed technology complies with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as best practices for online safety and privacy. You will be a peer mentor and role model on the team, fostering a culture of customer focus, collaboration, diversity, and inclusion, and drive technical excellence and innovation. Responsibilities Building scalable data pipelines to ingest batch and streaming data in production environmentsSolving challenging data storage and serving problems to deliver high performance and efficiencyProviding thought leadership, creation, and execution on data platform capabilitiesCreating dashboards to measure effectiveness of processes and systemsMeasuring the performance of components and queries to evolve and improve our featuresMentoring other team members on creating high performance data structures and queriesPlanning and executing complex, cross-functional projects in partnership with a supportive team of engineers, data scientists, and leaders Embody our Culture & Values | |
