What You'll Do:
Radiology Technicians' responsibilities in a correctional atmosphere have specific responsibilities that ensure the safety and well-being of both patients and staff. Their duties include:
* Operating imaging equipment: Radiology Technicians are responsible for
operating sophisticated imaging equipment used in diagnostic procedures.
* Patient care: They prepare patients for tests, explain procedures, and ensure
they are at ease during the treatment process.
* Radiation safety: Technicians must follow standards of radiation safety and use heavy radiation-resistant lead shields to protect both themselves and the
patients.

* Monitoring and reporting: They closely monitor patients and develop required
films, maintaining and handling specialized radiology equipment.
* Administrative tasks: In some cases, they may assist with nursing and
administrative tasks, and can perform functions of a medical assistant if
necessary.
These responsibilities are crucial for providing effective treatment and ensuring patient safety in a correctional setting.
What We're Looking For:
* Florida licensed.
* Corrections experience is not required.
* Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include a drug screen and criminal
background check.
* Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship available).
