The site Maintenance
Technician will be responsible for:
Conducting work in a safe and effective manner that prevents harm to themself, others, or in a way that may cause damage to site equipment.
Using monitoring equipment to inspect production and process equipment for proper operation.
Recognizing signs indicating adjustments or maintenance is needed for the various mechanical systems.
Notifying Management and Operations of any potential equipment issues or abnormalities.
Determining the necessary corrective actions through troubleshooting of equipment operation by using Operational or "trouble" messages provided by Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) screens or other similar display panels.
Performing preventative maintenance tasks and repairs of production equipment using technical manuals, blueprints, P&IDs, or vendor documentation.
Maintaining production equipment in a safe operating condition to help ensure the protection of all plant employees and visitors.
Performing housekeeping duties and organization of spare parts inventory, tools, and related equipment.
Maintaining documentation related to work performed on equipment.
Coordinating with management and contractors for work to be completed
Installation (or assisting installation), testing, and validation of new production equipment.
Understands, follows, and maintains proper records for Process Safety Management procedures and requirements
Participating in, and overseeing, equipment changeovers as necessary.
Assisting management with training of other employees in proper use of equipment.
Maintaining organization of the maintenance area, along with any area where repair work is in progress.
Becoming familiar with the overall process and plant operations to support backfilling the operations position when necessary.
Assist coworkers with production or other tasks as requested.
Interested candidates must possess 5+ years' experience as a
Maintenance Technician, or similar, within an Industrial, Gas / Oil Refinery or
Chemical Production facility. Successful candidates must have proven heavy
repair experience with multistage screw and reciprocating compressors, repair
and alignment of multistage pumps and blowers.
Daily duties will include service and repair of equipment and
machinery, collecting oil samples for analysis, performing vibration analysis, thermographic
surveys, maintaining PM records, control of equipment maintenance history and
maintenance schedules. Other expectations include maintaining lubrication
schedules, issuing work orders, planning turnaround schedules, requisitioning
parts and materials, maintaining warehouse housekeeping / inventory, and
calibration of test equipment.
Additional consideration will be made to a candidate with proficiency
in operation of forklifts, man-lifts, hydraulic, and other power tools.
Experience with refrigeration compression systems and instrumentation /
electrical is a plus.
High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree or any other related certifications or training is a plus - Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing environment (preferably with compression maintenance experience.
