Job Summary

West Bend Insurance is currently seeking students for our 2026 Summer IT Internship Program!

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

    Engage in the Information Security Program and ensures that all tasks of the function are achieved in a timely manner
  • Using security applications, monitor daily or weekly reports and security logs for unusual events
  • Assist in the coordination and completion of information security operations documentation
  • Assist in administration and maintenance of information security toolset (e.g., ServiceNow, Vulnerability Scanning)
  • Execute information security projects as assigned
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of Information Security Awareness, Training, and Education program materials
  • Carry out research on information security and privacy issues and keep abreast of the latest technology, industry best practices, and hardening standards to address security exposures and threats
  • Assist with management of security events/alerts raised by the security event tools Ensure assigned security events/incidents are mitigated by their SLA
  • Solve real business problems as part of an agile delivery team

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Enrollment in a Computer Science, Engineering, or IT-related program with an interest in Information Security
  • Can perform tasks autonomously and under limited supervision
  • Basic technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems and a wide range of security concepts
  • Basic analytical skills to analyze security requirements
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
