An Associate Chemist supports product development and improvement by assisting in the preparation, execution, and documentation of analytical laboratory experiments. The individual contributes to solving routine technical problems by applying basic knowledge of raw materials, formulations, lab equipment, and testing procedures. Responsibilities include completing assigned tasks accurately and on time, often as part of multiple projects.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.

* Adherence to safety policies and laboratory procedures.
* Prepare, execute, and document analytical analyses in support of regulatory, R&D, and problem-solving support projects.
* Accurately and effectively communicate results of analytical analyses through report writing.
* Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status).
* Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Computer knowledge and data analysis.
* Excellent math skills.
* Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Industrial Analytical laboratory experience
* Familiarity with testing methods used in Paint/Coatings Industries.
* Experience with analytical techniques (specifically GC-MS, LC-MS and tandem LC-MS).
* Statistical data analysis skills and experience

Travel Requirements: 10%
