The Electrical Services in the University Facility Services (UFS) Department is looking for an Trades Helper to help with set up in aspects of Audio/Visual to join our team. The Electrical Shop in UFS is an award winning team that provides a wide variety of Electrical Services to the University of Arizona campus. We are interested in applicants who are passionate about the electrical trade and who are interested in performing a variety of tasks with precision and safety. This position requires overtime, weekend and holiday work. This position also requires the successful candidate to work on call or standby shifts as part of a rotation. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Assist
in setting up and installing AV equipment such as projectors, screens, sound systems, and displays. - Wires, distribution power and extension cords) during installations.
- Handle the maintenance, storage, and inventory of tools and equipment.
- Support AV technicians with system testing and troubleshooting to ensure
functionality. - Ensure
work areas are clean, organized, and safe. - Follow safety protocols and comply with worksite regulations.
- Standby support for AV and power events.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move, or transport 50lbs.

Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Use and understanding of AV systems, equipment, and components.
- Prior experience working in a University or College setting or AV road (road shows)set up.
- Vocational or training in Audio Visual.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
