Prepares documents to be scanned into the imaging system. Scans documents using high speed scanning machines, and indexes scanned documents into the Company's imaging system. Performs quality assurance checks on scan quality and indexing and rescans or indexes scanned documents to the correct location.
What will you do?
- Prepares documents to be scanned into the imaging system. Removes paper clips, staples, and tapes small documents onto full-size sheets of paper. Scans incoming mail into appropriate workflow based on established criteria. Backscans archival files using high speed scanning machines while maintaining file integrity. Changes settings on the scanning machine to send the documents into the appropriate imaging system files. Performs quality control reviews of work to maintain acceptable image quality and file location. Makes corrections and rescans documents as needed to assure a high quality of images.
- Performs quality assurance tasks by viewing scanned documents in the imaging system and comparing the scanned images against the paper documents. Counts number of pages by batch or policy file and compares the number to the actual scanned documents.
- Maintains personal production records on a daily basis and maintains an appropriate level of production with minimal errors in accordance with established guidelines on the scanning and quality assurance job duties.
- Conducts regular preventive maintenance on scanning equipment by cleaning the scanning machines two times a day and replacing damaged or worn equipment parts.

Education
High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
Experience
Four months minimum experience.

- Typing 20-30 wpm with accuracy (preferred)
