Job Overview & Essential Functions

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck Dealership and Leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Body Shop Detailer. The role of the Body Shop Detailer will perform cleaning and detailing of vehicles, full appearance reconditioning inside and out, interior/exterior paint/fab application -wash, clean and polish vehicles, provide quality workmanship in a timely manner.

  • Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs.
  • Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
  • Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
  • Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation. Communicates all defects to supervisor.
  • Replaces missing or defective small parts.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly working area. Responsible for proper handling and prevention of damage to company tools, equipment, and facilities. Reports any damage to company or customer equipment or property immediately to supervisor.
  • Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary. Abides by all company policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
