- Manages and sustains R&D projects with internal and external resources.
- Lead and manage projects from initial assessment through implementation (commercialisation).
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and stakeholder communication strategies.
- Formulate project proposals.
- Support strategic evaluations of potential projects and preparation of business cases.
- Oversee implementation processes, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures.
- Executes the project within the defined requirements (budget, time, functionality).
- Ensures business success and customer satisfaction, and ensures professional stakeholder management.
- Ensures timely decisions on open issues, escalating if necessary.
- Manages a network of technical specialists to realise customer-specific components, systems, or solutions.
- Coordinates the engineering disciplines and cooperates with involved regional engineering units, including their interfaces.
- Performs technical risk management.
- Acts as an interface to the client, responsible for technical risks and opportunities.

- Facilitates the execution of the project/program solution plan for complex projects or programs.
- Responsible for the delivery of complex project/program plans.
- Supports the project/program management role (definition of schedule, budget, risk, change, opportunity, and resource allocation management) for complex projects or programs.
- Acts as a functional or business process resource on projects or programs.
- Facilitates the execution of the continuous improvement plan.
- Perform an active role in maintaining client relationships and sales opportunities.
- Frequent inter-organisational and external contacts (with clients and service providers).
- Primarily intra-organisational contacts; external contacts occur in the frame of client projects.
- Manages (at least) medium projects and is expected to run plans with the same/higher complexity further.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Mechanical or Biomedical or Software or Electrical or Science or Technology or Mathematics or Biology or Chemistry.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Sustaining R&D, R&D or Manufacturing engineering, or R&D for medical devices.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in project management tools (MS Project, Monday.com, Jira).
- Minimum 4 years of Documentation and DHF experience.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Excellent project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and work well with teams.
- Strategic thinker with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications such as PMP.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and resilience under pressure.
- Good business acumen and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Certified as Project Manager.
- Engineering background (ideally transitioned from engineering to PM).
- Medical device industry experience.
- Familiarity with design controls, change management, and multi-project environments.
