The IT Associate Business Analyst plays a key role in supporting the development of the Enterprise Content Management Platform and other digital experiences. This role contributes to a cross-functional team focused on optimizing application capabilities and business processes. - Assist in the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more environments, applications, or platforms.
- Define requirements for new application features and enhancements aligned with strategic priorities.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code for assigned work.
- Participate in design processes to ensure alignment with business requirements and optimized user experience.
- Capture requirements for low-complexity systems or modules, understanding the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications with appropriate detail for development teams.
- Resolve system and client experience issues across supported platforms.
- Support and/or participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality in application releases.
- Follow recommended information security standards when developing code.
- Utilize technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts during development.
- Embrace mentorship and training from senior engineers.
- Demonstrate active learning of industry trends in banking and technology.
- Follow established coding standards and best practices.
- Understand principles of security, risk management, and IT processes, escalating issues to appropriate teams as needed.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer/information science, Information Systems Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Work Experience
- 1+ year of experience in software development, business analysis, or related project work.
Certifications & Licenses
- Business Analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) are a plus but not required.

- Requirements Gathering & Documentation. Skill in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements clearly and accurately.
- Effective Communication. Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and convey complex ideas simply.
- Process Modeling & Improvement. Understanding of business processes and ability to visualize, analyze, and improve workflows using tools like Visio or BPMN.
- Technical Literacy. Familiarity with software development concepts, databases, and tools such as SQL, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Customer Focus. Ability to align solutions with user needs and ensure a positive client experience across platforms.
- Testing & Quality Assurance Support. Participation in user acceptance testing and understanding of testing strategies to ensure application quality.
- Defect Management. Ability to identify, track, and manage software defects throughout the development lifecycle using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Problem-Solving. Capacity to identify root causes of issues and propose effective, scalable solutions.
- Agile Methodology Familiarity. Basic understanding of Agile principles and ability to work within iterative development cycles.
- Attention to Detail. Precision in capturing requirements, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring quality in documentation and testing.
Physical Demands
- Ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with clients, frequent use of hands to manipulate/grasp objects, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent lifting of 1-10 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Travel/Driving Requirements
- Minimal travel may be required for team meetings or project collaboration.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $61,000 to $80,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
