Responsibilities

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR IV

    Responsible for high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers
  • Coordinates, directs and performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
  • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
  • Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues
  • May resolve problems within established practices
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
  • Plans and implements the modernization of servers
  • Develops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
  • Develops and implements new standards, policies and procedures
  • Works closely with Network and Systems Analysts to help determine and develop the systems that will be implemented

Leads and directs work of lower level Systems Administrators



Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Storage Administration specifically including:
    • NetApp storage systems experience; that includes experience with NetApp systems administration support for large scale Windows/UNIX/Linux environments.
    • 10 years of experience installing and configuring NetApp storage systems.
    • 10 years of experience writing scripts with a scripting language
    • 5 years of experience using OCI
    • 5 years of experience in managing FlexPod integration with NetApp storage
    • 2 years of experience with AWS On-Premise and AWS migrations
    • Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL processes

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience

  • Travel minimally, via car or plane, which requires ability to manage luggage, laptop, and briefing materials (up to 25 pounds)
