Description
Mazak Corporation is looking for a Supervisor to join the team on second shift. The Fabrication Supervisor will organize, coordinate, and supervise employees and activities in the Fabrication department. Scope and Responsibilities: Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following: * Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. * Control procedures to meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards. * Provide training, support, direction, and guidance to department personnel to continually develop their work habits, skills, and safety practices. * Complete employee performance reviews in a timely manner while providing feedback for continued employee growth. * Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. * Ensure daily output and troubleshoot issues as early as possible * Organize new employee training. * Coordinate and perform test welds. * Approve timecards and time off requests for your associates. * Completing evaluations that are timely and constructive. * Complete Employee Status Change forms when necessary for increases, title changes, terminations, and voluntary resignations. * Handles discipline as needed and in accordance with company policy. Education: * Highschool diploma or equivalent is required * Associate's or bachelor's degree in manufacturing or engineering related field is preferred. Skills: * 3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting is required. * Knowledge of all Fabrication processes including laser, press brake, welding, and painting is highly desired. * Proven ability to follow through with schedules and work instructions * Excellent communication skills * Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications EOE, including disability/vets Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
