Overview
Texas Oncology is seeking a Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D or M.S.) to join our El Paso Team! Our El Paso locations are home to 12 Hematologists/Oncologists, 2 Board Certified Radiation Oncologists, 3 Nurse Practitioners, and a Physician Assistant. We also offer in house labs, imaging, and have a full-time Oncology pharmacist. Our centers handle an average of 110 patients per day, including SRS, SBRT, and HDR programs. Today, Texas Oncology treats half of all Texans diagnosed with cancer on an annual basis. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have the ability to utilize components of the treatment-planning computer including but not limited to the use of keyboards, digitizers, trackball and mouse controls. Must be able to stand for 8 hours; lift 40 pound block to shoulder level; have sufficient visual acuity to distinguish structures and isodose displays on computer monitor. Additionally, must be able to align treatment field and monitor patient during radiation therapy treatment. |
