Position Overview
The Phlebotomist I and II (Patient Services Representative I and II) serve as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the organization with professionalism and empathy during both routine visits and critical health evaluations. This role is responsible for collecting quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining a professional, patient-centered environment across multiple Florida locations. Job Responsibilities
Perform daily phlebotomy activities accurately, efficiently, and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor
Ensure a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times
Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures and protocols
Maintain accurate and complete records and documentation for all patient interactions and sample collections
Clearly explain procedures to patients while ensuring confidentiality and patient comfort
Uphold a positive, professional image in all interactions with patients, clients, and colleagues
Job Requirements
Demonstrated ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed
Strong customer service orientation; experience in retail or service environments preferred
Proficiency with data entry and computer systems
Must reside within a 25-minute commute of the assigned work location
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic certification preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Work Experience Phlebotomist I
Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
One or more years of experience preferred
Customer service experience preferred
Phlebotomist II
Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Two or more years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
Customer service experience preferred

Candidates must include their home city on their resume; pay rate is determined by direct years of experience (overlapping roles are not counted twice)
Reliable personal transportation required (public transit or rideshare options such as bus, Uber, or Lyft are not acceptable)
Must be able to work all scheduled shifts in full; excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination
Candidates must verify commute time prior to submission and reside within 25 minutes of the assigned location
