The objective of the Human Resources Generalist is to serve as an onsite resource to the KT Pacer leadership team; providing first class service to all internal clients and provide guidance related to employee relations, risk management, payroll, benefits and more. This role will be engaged in strategic planning and change management to help establish and maintain a best-in-class HR department and help foster an "Employer of Choice" workplace.
The HR Generalist serves as the Human Resources point of contact and oversees all Human Resources related matters.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

Under the direction of the President and working in conjunction with KT Pacer's leadership team & the Platform Director of HR, the Human Resources Generalist manages and maintains all personnel information, manages all HRIS systems, and navigates employee relations issues . This role will also work as a safety partner to the business.

Key demands and challenges include:

  • Fulfilling the HR needs of the business, employees, and corporate initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company rules and State and Federal laws.
  • Successfully accomplish departmental and company objectives.
  • Best in class onboarding process for all employees and temps.
  • Working confidentially with employee information or those with job or policy related matters.
  • Thinking critically and independently to arrive at sound decisions within the parameter of Marmon's policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure KT Pacer employees are complying with all company rules and objectives and within the state and federal laws.
  • Engage in and coordinate weekly manpower decisions, planning and execution for regular and temporary workers.
  • Identify and research human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations aligned with KT Pacer's strategic direction.
  • Partner with hiring managers on talent acquisition functions.
  • Ensuring employees are aware of training and continuous development opportunities that are required and available.
  • Ensuring managers and supervisors are driving performance management.
  • Partner with the President and the platform Director of HR on employee compensation.
  • Handle employee relations issues with managers and supervisors. This would include coaching, counseling, discipline, and engaging the platform Director of HR where necessary
  • Partner with operations on risk management, safety, and workers' compensation
  • Coordinates FMLA, disability, WC, and other leaves according to policy with the platform leave partner.
  • Manage HRIS functions via Workday, including reporting and data entry with ADP & UKG. Ensuring accurate data management and retention across systems.
  • Other projects as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years' of relevant experience or a HS Diploma/ GED with a minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in an HR role.
  • MS Office suite experience required
  • Workday, ADP payroll and UKG timekeeping applications experience preferred.
