Communications Senior Manager, Electrical Connections

Reporting into the Director of Employee Communications, you will support our Electrical Connections business segment and play a critical role in partnering with the President of Electrical Connections on their employee communications strategy. You will create and implement complex employee communications plans that advance that strategy. In this hands-on role, you'll use all available channels, excellent writing and PowerPoint design, data/analytics, and multi-media content to accomplish your objectives.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Serve as a strategic partner and advise the President on messaging, positioning, and communications plans.
  • Deliver a scalable employee communications strategy that consistently keeps Electrical Connections employees informed, unified, and aligned.
  • Apply a journalistic perspective and excellent writing skills to help demonstrate how the work we do in Electrical Connections results in transformational business outcomes.
  • Plan, promote, execute, and host company events (both local and global).
  • Create a flow of news and feedback by building positive relationships with people leaders, site leaders, and other employees across Electrical Connections.
  • Work in partnership with teams such as: external communications, investor relations, legal, and marketing team members.
  • Track and measure effectiveness of communication initiatives and campaigns.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Marketing, Business or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional corporate, employee, or executive communications experience.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including proofreading and editing.
  • Expert at visual communications, including PowerPoint and photos/videos.
  • Savvy at audience targeting.
  • Excellent at providing proactive and personalized, customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail, flexible, open minded (open to large amounts of feedback).
  • Proficient with digital tools such as intranets, AI, internal communications platforms (Teams, etc.), and Microsoft Office365.
  • Willingness to travel (<15%).

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$123,500.00 - $229,500.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
