As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure atmosphere for people and property. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. By remaining visible and approachable, you help to deter unwanted incidents and create a welcoming environment for employees and visitors alike. You will also respond to various security-related situations and provide clear communication and exceptional customer service at all times. Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and drivers with access-related inquiries and site-specific procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies, including responding to alarms and emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel or authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel to maintain awareness of ongoing operations and any potential risks within the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
