As a Security Officer - - Media Center Patrol - Full Time in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a valued member of Allied Universal, you will join a dedicated team providing security-related services at a leading technology location. In this unarmed patrol role, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the site, remaining highly visible to help deter potential incidents and create a welcoming environment for all. You will interact with employees and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to situations as they arise. This position is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating company or client vehicles as part of your patrol duties. Pay Rate: $28.35 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Document all incidents, observations, and/or actions taken during patrols in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with site staff and/or local law enforcement as needed to address security-related issues.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and general information about the location as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Certification in CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
