OverviewThe Office Growth and Experiences team (OGX) is an experienced and highly passionate group at Microsoft that builds and maintains end-to-end ownership of Office across all platforms. Within OGX we are specifically looking for a Software Engineer II - Office on Windows Performance Focus with a focus on driving top-tier performance for Desktop Windows platform. You will collaborate with teams across Office, lead architectural discussions to improve performance, and mentor other engineers as we continue to elevate Office's capabilities on Windows devices. Identify hotspots, architect solutions, and drive these improvements into production.Collaboration: Collaborate across disciplines (e.g., PM, Design, Test) and geographies, ensuring we deliver end-to-end solutions efficiently.Data-Driven Development: Rely on telemetry and analytics to identify top performance bottlenecks. Continuously measure success by gathering and interpreting performance metrics, using the data to inform ongoing improvements and future designs.Quality & Stability: Contribute to designing robust test coverage for performance scenarios. Ensure that new and existing features maintain and improve user experience without regressions.Customer Success: Respond quickly to customer feedback & escalations and be proactive in identifying customer pain points and address them.
