Job Summary: The Fixed Asset Valuation & Capital Market Analysis Senior Manager is responsible for managing, executing and delivery of challenging valuation engagements by participating in all aspects of projects, from the initial proposal preparation through project completion. In this role, the Senior Manager is actively engaged in the origination and management of multiple valuation assignments, as well as managing staff in the development of such assignments. In addition, this position will be charged with managing the internal appraisal review process. Job Duties:
- Performs related company, industry and economic research
- Understands client financial statements
- Constructs financial models
- Applies acceptable appraisal methodology and concepts
- Details and explains the valuation methodology and concepts in the written appraisal report
- Explains and defends the finished product under a review scenario
- Documents and maintains all appropriate aspects of work product
- Composes and prepares narrative reports in support of valuation analyses
- Prepares necessary exhibits and memos in illustration of complex issues
- Ensures quality controls are adhered in association with all work products
- Participates in internal and external client meetings
- Assists and provides guidance to peers and staff members in the development of project plans and timelines for deliverables
- Creates budgets and fee estimates
- Scopes new projects
- Travels intermittently within the US and internationally, as needed
- Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises the day-to-day workload of Senior Associates and Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work product within a single or multi-disciplined valuation assignments
- Ensures Senior Associates and Associates are trained on all relevant valuation databases and models.
- Assists in the evaluating the performance of Senior Associates and Associates and assists in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional development
- Delivers periodic performance feedback and completes performance evaluations for Senior Associates and Associates
- Acts as Career Advisor to Valuation personnel as appropriate
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Finance or Engineering, preferred
- Master's in Business Administration (MBA), preferred
Experience:
- Eight (8) or more years of personal property valuation experience in a Big 4 or national valuation firm environment, required
- Eight (8) or more years in personal property valuation for financial reporting or tax reporting purposes, preferred
- Eight (8) or more years in personal property valuation for financing and leasing purposes, preferred
- Eight (8) or more years' experience in the appraisal review process, preferred
License/Certifications:
- CPA, CFA, AM, ASA or other valuation industry credentials, preferred
Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word, required
- Familiarity with Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems, preferred

- Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact with clients on assigned engagements
- Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels
- Ability for intermittent travel within the US and internationally
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range:
$150,000 - $180,000
Maryland Range:
$150,000 - $180,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range:
$150,000 - $180,000
