Postdoctoral Associate in Applied Linguistics, Department of Linguistics Georgetown University: Main Campus: College of Arts & Sciences: Linguistics Location: Main Campus Open Date: Sep 22, 2025 Deadline: Oct 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Department of Linguistics at Georgetown University invites applications for a one-year postdoctoral associate in Applied Linguistics to begin on January 1, 2026. We seek an applied linguist with expertise in second language learning, teaching, assessment, or technology-based instruction, along with the use of quantitative or mixed methodological approaches. The successful candidate should have strong evidence or promise of research and publication and a record of successful teaching. Duties include teaching one course in Spring 2026 and one course in Fall 2026, some mentoring of students, and serving on one departmental committee. Salary is competitive. Qualifications: Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment. Candidates must show strong promise of excellence in teaching as well as research.
