The USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences is seeking a Research Technician in the Department of Biological Sciences, Neurobiology Section. The largest and oldest of the USC schools, USC Dornsife functions as the academic core of the university, offering courses and advancing knowledge across the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. The Neurobiology Section at USC is a vibrant and collaborative group of academic researchers focused on diverse questions in neurobiology, including synaptic function and plasticity, sensory systems, and neural coding. Responsibilities include molecular biological experiments (PCR, sequencing), Drosophila husbandry and genetics, and general lab organization and maintenance. In addition to these core duties, additional work will assist on research projects into synaptic plasticity. Preferred Qualifications: Ideal candidates would have a college degree in a related scientific discipline (Neuroscience, Genetics, Molecular Biology, etc). Expertise in molecular biology, Drosophila genetics, and/or imaging is preferred.
