Staffmark is hiring a Milling Machinist to operate precision milling machines and fabricate, assemble, and repair intricate metal and other material parts according to engineering drawings and blueprints. This role requires a combination of technical
skill, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities to ensure parts meet strict specifications.

Pay: $24-$28/hour (Depending on expereince.)

Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities:



  • Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor milling machines (manual and CNC) to cut, shape, and form materials
  • Blueprint Reading: Study technical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and CAD/CAM files to determine part dimensions, tolerances, and workflow
  • Setup & Calibration: Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials; adjust machine settings for precision
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished workpieces using precision instruments like micrometers and gauges to verify specifications
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure machine reliability
  • Program Editing: Edit CNC programs and recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaboration: Work with engineers, programmers, and production teams to resolve machining or assembly issues



Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Proficiency with milling machines and machining processes
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD/CAM files
  • Knowledge of basic geometry and trigonometry for machine calculations
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to detail for producing accurate parts
  • Experience with CNC machining centers and CAD/CAM software
  • Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks
