Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Service, Inc. is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist/Project Coordinator to provide professional and administrative support for HR functions including company policies and practices, recruitment, on-boarding, benefits, leaves of absence, employee relations, performance appraisal, corrective actions, workers compensation, personnel actions and supporting activities. Provide administrative support to department leadership, project team members, program managers and customers for the Crane, IN facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Partnering with functional leaders to actively recruit open requisitions across the Indiana locations.
  • Creating up to date Job postings by working closely with hiring managers to clearly identify job requirements and responsibilities
  • Crafting compelling job postings
  • Ensuring inclusive and timely communication with managers and candidates to ensure that managers are well informed, while supporting a positive, high touch applicant experience.
  • Provide managers and employees with answers to questions related to company policies and procedures and basic benefits related inquiries
  • Assists in the facilitation of the annual merit and performance reviews for local Crane office.
  • Works with managers and supervisors to ensure smooth onboarding of new hires.
  • May assist with employment activities such as scheduling interviews, drug screens and processing background checks in support of exempt and nonexempt recruiting and hiring activities and temporary agency activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate project execution, may conduct specific project cost estimating and analysis; and may schedule resources.
  • Track project budgets and percent completions for early signs of budget shortfalls and overruns and work with project managers to raise awareness of developing financial problems.
  • Contact and work with clients, project partners, and subcontractors as needed by project directors to support the management of projects.
  • Perform editorial review of project and other documents to improve quality of submittals.
  • Organize and maintain corporate documentation, correspondence, confidential employee files and training records, customer file, supply inventory and travel claims.
  • Serve as centralized point of contact for marketing initiatives, procurement, IT support, meeting organization, security logistics, report generation, and office functionality.
  • Create, format, prepare, and maintain reports, papers, graphics, and presentations required by Division and Project Managers in a timely manner.
  • Ensure continuation of communication in the absence of leadership to teams and interpret requests and implementation efforts in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain local Crane distribution/ phone lists, organizational charts, leadership calendars/ scheduling, travel arrangements, and record keeping systems.
  • Perform other administrative support duties as may be required by leadership and other department managers.
  • Enter data into spreadsheets and perform financial and statistical calculations.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written, oral & interpersonal).

  • Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • 10+ years of related progressive experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be familiar with computers and MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong experience and significant working knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.
  • Must have extensive experience working with an HRIS database
  • Must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, as well as the ability to meet tight deadlines, and the ability to work in a fast paced, challenging environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.


WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Primarily works in an office environment.
  • Frequent repetitive motion tasks (i.e. Computer use).
  • May work occasionally extended hours and weekends.
