This position is funded for 12 months; continuation past 12 months will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.POSITION SPECIFICS The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Humanities, in Hershey, PA is seeking a full-time Human Research Technologist to work on research activities within the Van Scoy Communication Lab. This position will support research programs related to medical decision making, communication quality analysis and mixed methods research occurring in a variety of settings that include rural, urban, underserved communities and ICU/hospital/healthcare settings. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
This is an in-person, full-time, position for 40 hours per week that we are looking to fill as soon as possible. This is a limited term appointment funded one year from the date of hire with the possibility of re-funding. Applicants should have prior experience with administrative duties; have effective communication skills; be familiar with standard research practices; have a strong work ethic; and be able to work well independently and in a group. Prior experience conducting interviews and coding qualitative data is desirable as is experience working in community settings.
